Continuing Harvey’s Legacy
The Harvey Kuenn Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit committed to providing support to local youths. It was established in 1988 in honor of Harvey Kuenn, well known as the only manager to take the Milwaukee Brewers to the World Series.
In Harvey’s playing days, he was a Rookie of the Year, a Batting Champion and a 10-time All Star, later becoming a coach and then a manager. Most importantly, he was known for his incredible generosity and support of the community.

To expand our funding sustainability, to allow us to assist in the purchase of a prosthetic for at least two recipients each year
Our Vision
A Foundation to Stand On
In recent years, the Foundation has focused on assisting with the purchase of prosthetics for local youths in Harvey’s name.
Harvey lost his own leg after his playing career. He would undoubtedly be very proud to see that his legacy includes helping kids with similar disabilities with prosthetics so they can enjoy a greater quality of life.
The Foundation partners with Milwaukee’s Hanger Clinic, the leading provider of orthotic and prosthetic care, to find and assist candidates in need.

In addition to funding prosthetics, the Foundation also provides support to youth baseball players in the community.
